Basic 383 Stroker Kit Installation Instructions

When we upgrade, replace, or convert engines, it’s most likely due to the fact that we want higher performance levels of torque and horsepower. At the basic level of human psychology, this upgrade to a better engine resembles our need and desire for “more power.” This also signifies a new era of engines and what they are capable of doing, especially because of new technologies.

When replacing your small block 350 chevy engine with a 383 stroker kit, there are some main things that you should take into account:

1. Firstly, you should purchase a 383 stroker kit from us, which includes everything you’ll need to install and/or replace all of the components required (crankshaft, rods, pistons etc.)
2. Secondly, you shall then install the set of 4 bolt steel main caps over the center with the two crankshaft mains (only if you're using a two-bolt main block)
3. Thirdly, make sure that the cylinders are bored to their correct dimensions in order to achieve a successful union (helps to enhance the overall airflow, which will be needed in order for the pistons to feed and accommodate the extra cubic inches)
4. Fourthly, install the cylinder heads perfectly, as failure to do so could end up in a tragic destruction of other related parts and components
5. Fifthly, install the camshaft, arms, and open the valves while doing so (for better compensation and to increase the overall displacement)
6. Finally, install the manifold and headers appropriately, not to mention the reverse-flow water pump and the heat-venting tubes on the back of the heads
